Memorial Day Recap

We had a great Memorial Day. What? Memorial Day was a week ago? Hmm.

Anyways, Kb got the day off at the last minute. I was pumped, a whole day for me and Kb. He's been working long days, six days a week. It's great for our debt snowball, but it cuts into our together time.

We decided to go to the city. But first, we stopped at Pine Hill. It was Kb's first experience with the glorious thrift that is found at Pine Hill. He was pleasantly surprised at the goods and overly excited to score a bag of ranch sunflower seeds for fifty cents. We stored our loot in the trunk, and we were off.

We headed to Logan's Roadhouse. This joint is one of my faves. We enjoyed steak and chicken and slathered butter on the famous rolls, all courtesy of a coupon and a gift card.

From there we toured some of our favorite stores in Mishawaka. We talked and window shopped until our legs were tired. Perhaps, we are the only ones who are entertained on Friday nights by the tv show, Shark Tank, but just in case we're not, I'll tell you that this find had me rolling.

At TJ Maxx, I pined over a piece of driftwood furniture, a Jofran server table, that would have fit that one empty spot in our living room perfectly. Kb and I sat in neighboring dining room chairs staring at the server table, pondering whether or not to make the purchase. It's strange, this adult power of having money and choosing whether or not to spend it. Oh well, some other day. She sure is a beaut, though.

We stopped at my parent's on the way home for some ice cream and horse back riding. Well, one of us ate ice cream and the other rode horses. I'll let you decide who did what.

It was such a good day. We didn't spend much money or do anything fancy, but we were together and it was good.
