Rendezvous

I had a unique college experience, and I loved it. Well most of it anyways.  My freshman year, I attended a Christian university in Texas, and then, I transferred to Ball State University in Indiana. One cool thing about college was that I met people from all over the country and even a few other countries.

We came from different places, different lifestyles. We lived together and learned together. And then, after four years, we went our separate ways.

Last weekend, a few of us met up again. Bethany and Gary drove up from Alabama, and we all met up with Becky in Fort Wayne. Dinner and a Tin Caps game were on the agenda. Becky was in charge of finding us a place to eat, and she did not disappoint. We walked to Coney Island, a hole-in-the-wall hot dog joint.

And they steam their buns. How awesome.

Then, we went to the baseball game and chatted the night away.

College is such a crazy, unique experience. Hundreds of strangers cram into the dorms in the fall. Quickly, strangers become friends. We live with each other through it all, and it is so fun. And then, before you know it, we move on. We get married, start big-people jobs, and move away. These are sweet moments when we can come back together, catch up, and laugh with each other.
